Entirely handcrafted, these quirky chairs have a generously padded cushion top upholstered in genuine buffalo leather. The tactile, hard wearing leather offers luxurious comfort whether simply used as a foot stool or as additional or occasional seating. The retro, minimalist design features simple lines & four solid wooden legs for stability. Its compact proportions have been deliberately designed with modern homes in mind and they are light enough to be easily moved or tucked away when not needed. Ethically made by a small family company in Rajasthan in India which provides a good working environment for their employees and a wage that values their work. We are a fair trade company and work closely with our suppliers to ensure high standards for workers. These stools are hand made from genuine buffalo hides of which no two are exactly the same. This means that each stool also will be delightfully unique. Using real leather means that you may find small blemishes on the stools and some small differences in colour from the example shown. This is the natural character of buffalo leather and we love the unique quality it gives to each item. The leather is protected with natural oils to give it a lovely rich finish and make it hard-wearing. Our leather stools are intended to get even better with age, the leather will soften and the bumps and knocks they will get add more character. The legs are made from sustainable Mango Wood.
