Named GATPAC after the group founded by designer Josep Torres Clavé, this industrial-inspired floor lamp showcases influences from modernism with an uncomplicated metal construction and adjustable shade. Crafted from aluminium, the GATPAC Floor Lamp is elevated on a tall base and features a dome shade that can be directed upwards for ambient indirect light or tilted to cast a more direct beam, and is fully dimmable for a versatile lighting effect. The GATPAC collective was founded in Barcelona, and was made up of architects and designers that wanted to progress contemporary architecture to encourage a new type of collective cohabiting. Torres Clavé made up part of the dynamic group of Catalonians and is known today as one of the most prevalent figures of the Spanish avant-garde movement. Though Torres Clavé tragically died in the Spanish Civil War, his innovative designs remain relevant and celebrated to this day, with the GATPAC Floor Lamp produced to exacting standards by Santa and Cole.
