Interior Designer EDIT: Country Luxe Living & Dining

Interior Designer Edit: Country Luxe Living & Dining
fashions come and go, but a good country theme can really last the distance. With careful planning, this style can look minimalist, smart and sophisticated, yet still relaxed

Country style is one of my favourites. I always think that fashions come and go, but a good country theme can really last the distance. With careful planning, this style can look minimalist, smart and sophisticated, yet still relaxed and sensitive to its location. This look features slightly crisper lines in its furnishings, elegant more minimal furniture shapes and natural materials, but with the addition of stone, metals and glass. Just make sure to keep it clutter free! For a modern twist on this style, I love to include accents of animal hide and leather. It creates a depth of texture and interest to what could be considered a slightly underwhelming scheme. Combine this with distressed and natural accessories to set the tone and bring in elements of nature through it's use of wood and metal. This style is cosy and calming, whilst also making a statement in your living space.

Jenny Myers

Following many years working in the marketing agency world and commuting to London, Jenny realised that she wanted to pursue a career in something that she genuinely felt passionate about. Whilst renovating her 3rd property, a Grade 2 listed country cottage, she realised that interior design and home décor was the ticket. Due to living in semi-rural Sussex, Jenny has a natural affinity with a country style but she is also a real advocate for making sure that no one’s house looks like a high street showroom! She believes that the interior of a home represents both the style of the home, but also the person who lives there and that it should reflect your own personality, loves and quirks. With this in mind, she set up Homebody Decor with the aim to source eclectic, quirky and more ‘statement style’ home décor items. Homebody Decor currently serves the UK and provides items in a variety of styles from Country Luxe to Scandi Cool and Outdoor. She also runs a ‘product sourcing’ service, so, if you have something in mind but can’t find it anywhere, Jenny will do her best to source it for you, or something similar that will fit within your scheme.
